The Central Library Consortium (CLC) is a Central Ohio
Library system serving a four county area consisting of 7
member libraries, 5 branch libraries and 2 bookmobiles
containing over 465,000 titles and 1,116,000 holdings.
The CLC was created by the member libraries to establish,
maintain and operate a computerized library network in
order to promote resource sharing among member libraries
and to increase access to information for their
patrons.The CLC was created in 1989 with four original
members:
- Fairfield Co.
District Library
- Grandview Heights
Public Library
- Pickerington Public
Library
- Wagnalls Memorial
Library
In 1996 two new libraries
joined the CLC membership:
- Pickaway Co. District
Library
- Plain City Public
Library
In 1999 the Pickaway Co.
District Library added the Younkin Branch Library to
their service area.
In 2000 the Marysville
Public Library and the Raymond Branch Library joined the
CLC.
In September 2006 the Alexandria
Public Library joined the CLC.
