Appointed Director of the Alexandria Public Library in October, 2005, Denise is only the fourth director in over 70 years. Before becoming director, Denise worked in the library as a circulation clerk for three years. Prior to library work, Denise, a native of Milan, Ohio, spent several years as the MIS/ Accounting Coordinator for the School and Home Office Products Association (SHOPA), and as a graphic designer for Mead Corporation's advertising division, both in Dayton, Ohio. A voracious reader, she is proud mother of two sports nuts, and wife of author Dave Shedloski.
