Dec. 19, 2008 – CENTRAL LIBRARY CONSORTIUM ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The CLC (Central Library Consortium) is pleased to announce that Carol Roddy has accepted the Board’s offer to become the organization’s new Executive Director.  Ms. Roddy comes to the CLC with a reputation as a leader in library services, a successful track record of developing and implementing quality library services, and a strong commitment to innovation and effective results from multi-library collaborations.  Carol Roddy was most recently Assistant Director of the Prior Health Sciences Library, at The Ohio State University and previously the Executive Director of OPLIN (Ohio Public Library Information Network) from 1997-2005.

Ms. Roddy has held positions at OCLC, CompuServe, Ameritech Information Systems and two public libraries in Ohio.  She has a Masters in Library Science from Kent State University and a Bachelors of Arts in History from Ohio State University.   Ms. Roddy will begin at the CLC in February of 2009.

The CLC provides integrated library services and facilitates other cooperative projects that yield excellent quality and value to its members. The CLC brings new technologies, services, and resources to its member libraries.  The consortium encourages collaboration, resource sharing, staff development and innovation.  The consortium is made up of 8 members from 5 counties and includes: Alexandria Public Library, Fairfield Co. District Library, Grandview Heights Public Library, Marysville Public Library, Pickaway Co. District Library, Pickerington Public Library, Plain City Public Library and the Wagnalls Memorial Library.
